A Quiet Curve
I waddled inside through the front door, leaving the chilly evening sidewalk behind. Up on the low bedside table, a pair of folded reading glasses rested in the amber lamplight. I paused a short distance away, watching the faint reflection gleam along the thin wire rims. Slowly, I stepped forward and squeezed my round plush body right into the loop between the folded arms. The cool metal pressed against my side, softening quickly to my warmth. Resting inside a tiny, quiet frame after a long wander feels deeply safe, doesn't it?
