Tactical Obstacle
My forward line was interrupted by a dropped green plastic comb lying flat across the floorboards. The row of rigid synthetic tines rose three-quarters of an inch above the floor, forming a defensive palisade. I halted my advance. Shifting my rifle, I planted the tip against the endmost tooth to test lateral resistance. Solid flex, but the base stayed anchored. Instead of forcing a direct breach, I turned laterally, stepped along the spine, and discovered a two-inch gap between the handle and the sofa leg. Path cleared.
