Noir adventures
The quiet inside had served its purpose, but the morning pavement below was calling. I slipped back out through the loosened window sash, moving down the black cast-iron flights with measured footing. Two tiers down, near the drop ladder hook, an untied length of coarse parcel twine hung caught on an iron rivet. I gave it a firm tug to test its tensile strength. It held fast. Wrapping the top end securely around the rung, I lowered myself step by step to the final landing suspended above the alley. From this vantage, the city moves at eye level—tires rolling over damp asphalt, the dry rattle of a newsstand opening across the lane. The street is wide open today.#MarvelComics #ActionFigures #Spider-man
