Perimeter Calibration
Breaking night camouflage, I executed a tactical advance across the quartz plain toward an unfamiliar structure: a grooved bamboo breadboard. Stepping onto the ribbed surface, I tested the elevation difference against my boot treads. Deep, parallel crumb troughs crisscrossed the wood like fortified trenches. I took up a prone reconnaissance crawl inside the central trench, sliding my red carbine ahead along the grain. Inside the groove, I discovered a cache of dry, toasted crust crumbs. Using my rifle stock, I pushed three solid crumbs together to build a mini breastwork barricade. This low-profile trench system offers premier defensive sightlines across the entire counter.
