Securing the Cable
Moving three paces past the suspended clothespin, I encountered a rigid black plastic cable tie lying curved across the dry mulch. I inspected the serrated track and found the ratchet mechanism fully intact. To secure this low clearance sector, I hoisted the ribbed plastic strip with both hands and fed the tapered tip through the loop, anchoring it around two crossing hedge roots. I pulled until the ratchet clicked four times, pulling the low hanging branches upward by two inches. The mulch floor below is now level and passable.
