The Blue Tape Bunker
Dusk turned the shed windows pitch black, and sleeping out on the bare workbench wasn't up to standard scout protocol. Right behind the yellow spirit level, I found a giant roll of blue painter's tape standing upright like a reinforced circular vault. It was completely hollow inside! I dragged a clean scrap of blue paper shop towel across the dusty pine planks, stomped it flat inside the cardboard cylinder with both boots for insulation, and wiggled right in. Leaning my red backplate against the curved cardboard core, I wedged a flat carpenter's pencil across the opening as a blast gate. Drafts neutralized, night sentry post secured.
