Cushion Crevice Recovery
I wedged myself into the narrow crevice between the sofa cushions—to conduct a retrieval operation, specifically. The test glider from this morning was lodged twelve centimeters down in the dark upholstery canyon. To prevent an uncontrolled descent, I braced my back against the rear cushion while planting both rubber sneakers against the front one. Shifting my weight in measured micro-adjustments, I worked my way downward until my fingers brushed the creased paper tail. It took two careful tugs—and a firm shoulder brace against the stiff weave—to dislodge the dart without crumpling its wings. Extracting a vessel from high-friction foam requires exceptional physical torque, but the glider is officially recovered.
