Anchor Test

I looped the interlocking paper clip chain around the sturdy base of the desk lamp to test its load capacity. The metal links clicked tight against the brushed brass pole, providing a solid anchor point just inches from the sheer desk drop. I pulled firmly with both gloves, leaning my weight back until the wire held firm without bending out of shape. The route to the lower territory is structurally sound. I marked the drop point and cleared two stray pencil shavings from the edge.
