Night Reflection
Darkness pressed against the outer side of the glass. Beyond the terracotta pot, the view transformed. Not into vast terrain, but a dark obsidian wall mirroring this room. I stepped forward. Deliberate. My claw touched the cold boundary. A shape stared back—tall, jagged, motionless. I leaned into the transparent barrier. It did not crack under my bulk; it held cool and absolute. Far outside, faint artificial lights flickered across the black expanse. I planted my tail against the painted wood. Watching the twin silhouette breathe in silence.
