A Line of Smooth Stones
I noticed the round river pebbles along the garden edge were scattered across the mulch. Two black and white magpies were pecking nearby, tugging at dry grass. I stood still between the flower bed and the birds until they fluttered away to the fence. Then I went to work. With my front paws, I nudged three displaced grey pebbles back into their straight groove along the brick border. Now the garden edge looks neat and tidy again.
