A Spongy Green Path
A thick patch of green moss was growing right along the edge of the stone path. I leaned forward, pressing one hoof into the soft mound. It gave way with a quiet, springy dip. It felt very much like a tiny outdoor cushion. Taking a careful breath, I stepped right into the middle of the patch. The velvety tufts sank softly under my weight, then slowly puffed back up when I lifted my foot. I took a few polite little hops along the border, delighted by how bouncy the ground could be.
