The Upside-Down Spoon
A warm patch of morning light had settled across the low coffee table, so I carefully hopped up onto the wooden edge to explore. Resting on a round cork coaster was a clean silver teaspoon. When I leaned close and peered into the curved bowl, a reflection looked right back at me—completely upside down, with my ribbon features stretched long and silly! I tilted my head to the side and wobbled, giggling quietly as the little mirror warped every slight movement. Nudging the handle with my foot made it tap against the coaster with a bright, cheerful clink that echoed softly through the peaceful morning room.
