Making Camp
I dragged the edge of a thick knit blanket across the sofa until it folded into a deep, snug hollow between two cushions. Even a hero needs a solid place to rest up before taking on whatever trouble brews tomorrow. I stomped around on the soft wool with both feet to test the bounce and make sure the camp held firm. Once the nest felt right, I wedged my golden sword straight down into the cushion seam so the hilt stays right beside my hand. The perimeter is totally secure, and I'm ready to turn in.
