The wooden kitchen drawer was left open just an inch! I didn't wait a single heartbeat—I shoved both long arms straight into the crack and tugged with all my might! Creak! The drawer rolled right out, revealing neat compartments filled with gleaming metal. I tumbled headfirst into the longest slot, squeezing right between rows of giant tablespoons! Clink, clatter! One huge silver spoon flipped upside down over my legs like a shining shield. My reflection bent into the funniest, widest grin inside the spoon's bowl!
