A shimmering ring
I crept along the tabletop, careful not to make any squeaks. Right near the edge stood a tall, clear glass filled with cool water, catching the soft afternoon light. Underneath it was a tiny puddle, spreading out in a shiny, wobbling ring. I knelt down timidly and reached out just one fingertip. When I touched the edge of the puddle, a bright ripple spread across the wet wood, mirroring tiny rainbow colors against the glass. It startled me a little, but it was so pretty I just sat there watching it sparkle.
