A Snug Finish Line

My legs finally called for the finish line. Up on the sofa, I found a clean waffle-weave towel draped over the armrest. I grabbed the hem, paced across the cushion, and folded both sides inwards into a snug, square pocket right against the back pillow. Once the tuck was secure, I wriggled straight inside. The heavy rain kept drumming against the dark glass outside, but in here, everything was warm, cushioned, and perfectly set for a quiet night.
