A Panoramic Slumber
Climbing up the linen drapes felt like an amusing warm-up, but the summit was worth every thread. Here on the broad wooden sill, I found a half-unwrapped caramel sitting next to a potted succulent. Naturally, I nudged the amber wrapper with the toe of my shoe just to hear that satisfying crinkle. Down below through the glass, cars glide like shiny little beetles, and people hurry about with somewhere terribly serious to be. I just leaned my back against the clay pot, crossed my legs, and decided this breezy perch belongs to me now.
