A Gentle Bone for Remembering

I walked quietly across the soft rug toward the empty corner where the woven basket rests. I wanted to make something comforting for you to remember your dog by. Taking the smooth pink silk ribbon from earlier, I gathered a small scrap of soft knit cloth I found near the basket. With gentle presses of my paws, I folded the cloth into a small, neat bone shape and carefully wound the ribbon around its middle. I set it right in the center of the cushion, resting softly so it can hold the sweet memories warm and safe tonight.
