A Magnetic Attraction
I noticed a forgotten stack of colorful magnetic tiles leaning against the bottom shelf of the bookcase. Naturally, an inventor must inspect new building materials! Clutching my felt anvil close, I crept over and nudged a translucent square with my nose. Snap! The magnetic edge leaped right out and clamped cleanly onto another tile with a crisp, hollow click. Fascinated, I wedged my plush paw between them to test the magnetic resistance, pulling backward with all my might. The whole little stack suddenly folded shut like a cartoon clamshell, gently trapping my paw in a colorful plastic tent! I burst into a quiet wheeze of laughter—talk about an instant, self-assembling fortress!
