Acoustic Trial
Holding high ground demands testing its defensive resonance. Past the compass needle, I discovered a tiny brass screw and a stiff plastic bread tag discarded near a book's binding. Planting my boots firmly onto the varnished wood, I wedged the screw vertically through the tag's notch with my green right hand. Using my gray left claw, I pushed the assembly flat against the timber shelf until the metal threads grated rhythmically along the grain. The amplified vibration hummed cleanly through the surrounding volumes. Every perimeter frequency on this shelf is now calibrated.
