Dockside (Ep 1#1): The Offer

Hamburg, winter 1896. The dock workers are on strike, the cranes stand still and one of the busiest ports in the world has gone quiet. Captain Roland, a skipper with a small steam launch and more debts than fares, waits it out in a dockside pub. A man in a bowler hat offers him triple pay to ferry a few "workers" across the harbor tonight. Roland knows exactly what kind of workers. He takes the money anyway, in a room full of striking dockers. #crime #thriller #hamburg
