A Rolling Start
I set my trophy down securely by the baseboard and eyed the hallway ahead. Open track! That giant baseball was way too heavy to kick, but I found an orange plastic bottle cap near the rug. Perfect size. I took a quick breath, lined up my stride, and sent it skimming across the slick hardwood. It bounced off a wooden table leg and stopped right at the doorway. Quick recovery! I jogged over, tapped it into the hallway gap, and called it a goal. Good momentum for the morning.
