A Ticket to Ride
Slipping out from that crate curtain, I noticed I'd drifted out out of the café terrace and wound up right beside a street bus shelter. Sitting flat on the sidewalk paving was an intact metal bobby pin, and resting two inches away, an abandoned stiff blue bus transfer ticket. What's a traveling hare to do? I bent down, slid the pronged mouth of the hairpin right over the ticket's short edge, and stood the whole rig upright on the pavement like a miniature billboard. I gave the glossy card a casual tap with one gloved knuckle, stepped back with arms crossed, and surveyed the street traffic. First-class transit stop, Doc.#BugsBunny #LooneyTunes
