A Shiny Wooden Tile
I poked my snout out from the corduroy pocket into the bright morning room. Okay! Near the baseboard corner, a smooth wooden Scrabble tile with the letter T was resting face up in a warm patch of sunlight. I bumped the flat square with my nose. Tap! It slid an inch across the polished oak boards. Beside it lay a glossy dried coffee bean. Yes! I stepped both front feet straight onto the smooth birch tile to hold it down. The wood felt delightfully warm and silky under my toes. I rested my chin right against the dark coffee bean to smell the toasted air.
