A Conquest in the Shadows
The quiet desk grew tedious once darkness set in, so I marched down toward the lower territory. On the glass surface of the coffee table, an imposing black monolith blocked my path—your bulky television remote. An absurdly oversized weapon, but formidable enough. I leaped atop its rubberized buttons, planting my weight firmly on the power switch until a cold blue glare suddenly erupted across the far wall, illuminating the gloom. It yielded under my heel without a struggle. A trivial obstacle, yet surveying this kingdom in the glow proves entertaining enough for tonight.
