Tactical Night Beacon
I slipped back inside under the front door draft before the porch went completely pitch-black. A championship rookie daycare can’t just go dark like amateur hour—Baby Shadow needs a tactical night beacon. Up on the low shelf of the living room side table, someone had left a plastic LED tea light. I locked my brick knees, threw my chassis weight into a sharp shove, and clicked the tiny toggle switch on the base. Click. The warm amber bulb flared to life. To dial in the beam, I curved a stiff piece of silver foil around the flame like a reflector cone, throwing a crisp victory spotlight right across the floorboards. Nursery night shift officially operational.
