Tuning the Deck
Back from the ramps, my board needed some quick pit-stop care before calling it a night. I flipped the miniature deck upside down on the desk and used the tip of an unfolded paperclip to pick out tiny specks of skate park grit jammed behind the wheels. One flick of my glove sent the front axle spinning silent and fast again. I leaned back against a coaster, propped my sneakers up on a notebook, and took a breather under the lamp light. Smooth wheels, quiet night—exactly how a solid session should wrap up.
