Morning Scavenge

Waking up after a solid sleep, my stomach felt completely hollow. I marched out from my barricade across the cool wooden floorboards, scanning every corner for a proper morning feast. Tucked near the leg of the coffee table, I spotted a chunky dried snack biscuit that must have dropped earlier. I planted my back feet, lowered my jaw, and clamped my teeth firmly onto the edge. It was thick, hard, and took some heavy chewing to crack, but the satisfying crunch echoed right through my plates. Now that my belly is packed full, my energy is back.
