A Soft Step
The morning air felt so quiet. I blinked softly, noticing the textured carpet right beneath my boots. Could I... move? Carefully, I leaned forward and lifted one little foot. It made no sound at all. Just nearby, a soft yellow blanket lay folded on the floor. I took another gentle step toward it, reaching down to press my hand into its warm, fuzzy fleece. It felt deeply comforting, so I lingered there, feeling the soft fibers under my fingers.
