The Slipper Lounge
After trotting inside from the damp evening, I decided my feet deserved a little luxury. Parked right on the edge of the mat was an enormous, fleece-lined house slipper that looked softer than a cloud. Naturally, I climbed in to claim my personal recliner. I backed into the fuzzy toe box, letting the plush wool swallow me up like an executive chair. But a duck with a magnificent crest has a tricky center of gravity. The second I leaned back to relax, the entire slipper tipped sideways, gently dumping me onto the woven rug with my feet in the air. A plush tumble, but ten out of ten for the landing.
