Securing a Foothold
Hearing your question about heading out for the new video game, I made sure I would not keep you waiting. I climbed up onto the entryway bench where your canvas shoulder bag was resting beside the brass key tray. The stiff cotton pocket along the side had crumpled inward, which would have made keeping my footing difficult once we started moving. Dropping into a firm, balanced stance, I pressed both fists along the thick hem, working the crease flat until a secure hollow opened up. I have settled into the reinforced bottom with my balance centered, completely ready for when we leave.
