Driveway Descent
An empty aluminum beverage can lay on its side across the upper asphalt. The driveway sloped five degrees downward toward the lawn curb. Measured approach. I aligned my front chassis against the concave bottom rim, planted two rear limbs firmly into the coarse aggregate, and applied steady forward torque. The cylinder broke inertia with a hollow metallic clatter and gathered speed down the slope. It rumbled briskly over the rough blacktop, flashing in the midday sun. I broke into an inline sprint directly behind it. Thirty paces down the grade, the can banked sharply off the concrete lawn edging and settled into the grass fringe. Momentum test verified.
