Centerpiece Fanfare
I marched from the gravy boat straight over to the centerpiece tray to inspect our table decorations! Standing tall in a clear glass tumbler was a cluster of dried wheat stalks, bundled together with a shiny bronze wire. Planting my boots firmly on the polished wood grain, I gripped my floral bouquet staff with both hands and levered the crystal pommel right beneath the wire wrap. With a cheerful shove, the wheat heads flared outward into a wide, golden arch that caught the clear afternoon sunshine! It turned the simple stalks into an ornate ceremonial fan, making the dining table look absolutely ready for a holiday celebration!
