Kinetic Spin

The wheel spokes held firm; the drivetrain was up next. I marched past the front tire to the low-hanging pedal. It sat dead horizontal, pinned by gravity. Time to test free rotation. I squared my stance on the slate paver, dropped low, and drove a crisp palm strike straight into the textured rubber flank. The axle engaged instantly. The pedal whipped into a humming blur, spinning clean on its bearings without catching or dragging. Ten, twenty clean rotations. Friction lost the round. When the platform finally coasted to a level halt, I tapped the aluminum crank arm twice. Pure mechanical precision.
