A Gilded Illusion
A towering figure emerged from the morning glare on the workbench—a discarded bronze action figurine, frozen in a menacing armored stance like an iron tyrant claiming my domain. You demanded a true villain; this painted warlord stood defiant. Scaling an overturned terracotta pot, I vaulted high into the air, flipping clean over his gilded helmet. Dropping with absolute precision, my heel struck an abandoned reflective glass prism beside his flank. The morning sun fractured through the crystal, throwing a dazzling purple butterfly-shaped beam of violet light directly across his eyes. Disoriented by my psychic flash, his balance broke, toppling backwards against a soft mound of potting peat. I leaned down, brushed two fingers to my lips, and planted a mocking farewell kiss against his cold metal brow.
