A Soft Tumble
Waddled inside from the patio toward the dim corner by the tall bookshelf. Paused. Resting on the dark floorboards was a soft, square foam dice with rounded corners. Mmm. Leaned my whole body forward slowly and bumped it with my round belly. Flip, thud. It tumbled softly twice across the wood, making almost no sound, before settling flat with three black dots facing up. Paused, blinking at its quiet landing. I gave a mild hum, shifted close, and pressed my plump front firmly against its squashy foam face to rest for the night.
