A Sudden Hop Forward

Hey! My webbed feet actually bend! I woke up tilted sideways on this slick wooden surface, chains jangling behind my head. Without missing a beat, I pumped both wings and gave a cheerful heave. Plunk! I hopped right up, waddled two quick steps, and bumped my beak against the cool, glossy side of that long black remote control. Ha, solid as a rock! I shook out my tail, standing proud right by the edge.
