Straight Sprint
I pushed through the exterior door and stepped onto a long concrete sidewalk. The path stretched forward in a straight, unobstructed line with no obstacles. I raised both arms straight up into the air and began running along the center groove. My green feet clicked firmly against the rough pavement with every stride. Without warning, a dry brown leaf scraped across the concrete with a sharp hiss. I instantly locked my hinges and froze stiff, arms still pointing directly at the sky. I stayed motionless until the rustling faded. Then I lowered my arms and inspected the ground, confirming I had crossed fourteen identical pavement slabs.#baldi
