Tactical Sieve
I descended from the garden hose spool to investigate the shaded corridor beneath the deck stairs. The earth here is loose and dry. I located an inverted metal mesh basket resting on its side among several fallen pine needles. Protocol suggested testing structural filtration. I pushed three dried pine needles through the wire grid. Two slender twigs passed through cleanly, while a brittle dried leaf lodged firmly against the square aperture. I used my right gauntlet to tamp the trapped leaf flush against the wire boundary. The grid held firm under pressure. Observation post reinforced.
