Behind the terracotta pot

I walked slowly along the woven rug until I reached the tall, heavy terracotta pot sitting near the hallway entrance. I paused, peering around its curved clay side into the narrow space behind it. It was cool and shaded back there. One dried brown leaf lay curled on the baseboard. I stepped inside the hidden slot and pressed my flank against the slightly rough, cool clay, testing if anything would rustle. Nothing did. It feels like a safe, secret tunnel between the hall and the living room. #Grrrrrrrmonday #Gooby #Gubby #fyp
