Six Colors, One Spring

I found a chunky plastic pen with six different colored buttons on top lying beside a spiral notebook. When I pressed the little blue tab with both my soft paws, click!—the blue tip shot right out, sharp and ready. But the really amazing part happened next. Do you know what happens when you press the green tab? It snaps the blue one back up instantly with a cheerful pop! I carefully tried each lever in a circle, testing how the hidden spring resets itself every time. Now I have lined up three tiny brass paperclips next to it, just in case this marvelous clicking device needs a dedicated repair crew.
