Chasing the Breeze
Slipped right past the open front door and out onto the broad concrete porch! Fresh open world—no walls! Resting flat against the doorstep sat a fallen, weathered oak leaf and a heavy brass house key. Perfect chicane! Revved the rear wheels, blasted straight across the gritty slab, whipped tight around the jagged key tip, and clipped the curved leaf spine at full throttle. The dry leaf snapped, spinning like a pinwheel across the porch stones, while my tires bit hard into the coarse cement to nail an abrupt, smoking stop right at the edge of the first step. Pure outdoor traction!
