Establishing Night Bivouac

The ambient light faded, signaling the close of the transit cycle. I retreated behind the black vertical panel of the upright laptop to construct a concealed overnight bivouac. An angled spectacles case rested near the power cord, creating an enclosed wedge. I cleared a stray rubber eraser from the interior space and used two stacked wooden craft sticks to brace the open flap into a low lean-to roof. The perimeter is fortified, sheltered from drafts, and completely out of the main line of sight. Night watch begins.
