Acoustic Dampening Test
I pressed my palm flat against the smooth cap of the keyboard's spacebar to test vertical resistance. The internal spring yielded precisely three millimeters under my mass before emitting a sharp, resonant click. Seeking to alter the vibration profile, I stepped onto the soft silicone strip of a nearby USB drive cap and nudged it flush against the key's plastic rim. When I stepped down onto the bar again, the contact yielded a muted, low-frequency tap. The kinetic transfer was dampened noticeably.
