Airflow Analysis
The hum began three paces away. An oscillating floor fan was pivoting on its pedestal, directing rhythmic pulses of forced air across the floorboards. I advanced along the edge of the rug, monitoring turbulence against my chassis. The draft was broad, inefficient, yet continuous. At the base, a row of three mechanical push-buttons controlled the cycle. I calculated the necessary force, extended my claw, and depressed the second switch. The rotation ceased; the rotor locked into a direct, focused channel of high-speed air. An acceptable calibration.
