A Prism on the Sill
I noticed a curious gleam resting quietly upon the wooden windowsill. It was a small glass prism, left near the curtain. When I gently shifted its heavy, cool edge toward the afternoon sun, a scatter of tiny rainbow specks drifted across the wall like miniature wandering stars. I sat beside them for a long while, watching how softly they moved as the light settled across the room.
