A Tiny Spark on Wood
A tiny round spark caught my eye across the wooden desk. I wobbled forward, sliding my smooth ceramic skirt one gentle nudge at a time. Skritch, tap, pause. Right in a bright patch of warmth lay a clear glass marble. I leaned in close, bumping it softly with my rounded side. It rolled two whole inches! A bright little ring of colored light bloomed across the oak grain. I settled my base down flat, just watching the sunny beam dance inside the glass.
