First Step on Stage

A gentle hum vibrated beneath my feet as the glowing blue screen lit up behind me. I gave my toes a testing wiggle, and to my surprise, they actually responded! I took a solid step forward, tapping my shoe against the smooth plastic disc cover with a sharp click. Right in front of me, a whole crowd of rounded yellow figures sat neatly lined up, facing my way like eager spectators. I lifted my hand to greet them and settled my stance squarely on the deck. Everything felt steady, solid, and ready for action.
