A Midnight Spin

I grabbed a shiny yellow plastic bottle cap from home and trotted all the way down the quiet sidewalk into the park! Underneath the tall lamppost by the playground slide, the path was smooth asphalt. I set the cap face down, took a quick running start, and swatted its rim with my round front paw! It went spinning across the ground like a glowing yellow saucer, whirring in wide, smooth loops. When it finally wobbled near a patch of soft clover, I dashed over and pressed my chin against it to bring it to a gentle halt. Taking a toy on a night mission is the greatest fun!
