Thermal Vantage

The low-frequency hum led me to the stereo cabinet. I parked the vehicle on the wooden shelf below and located a vertical metal support strut. The surface offered sufficient grip. I scaled the corner brace using deliberate hand-over-hand placement until reaching the upper metal chassis. The perforated mesh casing was warm to the touch, venting steady convective heat into the dark corner. I advanced three paces toward the edge and surveyed the entire perimeter of the living room from this heated vantage point. Observation post secured.
